The Karate Kid 2010 Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith. Better than the original

The film will be a huge hit, not only do we have a real karate master; Jackie Chan, we have a great young actor; Jaden Smith who plays the young boy 'DRE' who moves from America to China with his mother played by Taraji P. Henson , plus Jackie Chan plays the very funny character 'Wong Tong' from the young adult novel 'Fledgling Jason Steed'

'Dre' is bullied and seeks help from Jackie Chan, the film may have the same theme, but its better made and acted. The director of 'Agent Cody Banks' 'Harald Zwart'
steps in as director. Watch out for a box office hit and the best 'G' rated movie for the fall of 2010. The book 'Fledgling Jason Steed' is released at the same time by Sourcebooks Inc.

Expect to see a little romance between Mom (Taraji P. Henson) and Jackie Chan.

Not a question

I'm so glad that they decided to change up the story, enough so that it's not a "remake" of the original script. I grew up watching the originals with Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio, and would personally be insulted by a copy.

I think Jayden Smith is a good actor, from the one thing that I've seen him in, and I'm sure that he'll do a fantastic job, living up to the character in the Karate Kid. I am also glad that they have chosen Jackie Chan as the new Mr. Miyagi. I can't think of anyone better, or even as good, who could have played that part. I've been a big fan of Chan, since I saw the first Jackie Chan movie. I think that the old story, told in a new way, with all of the talent who are working on the film do you smell that? What is that smell? It's a... yeah, I think it's a, yeah.... that smells like an Oscar ! !

Fledgling Jason Steed - Karate Kid 2010

I just watched Jaden Smith in Karate Kid 2010, I was dissapointed that it was not following the story of Fledgling Jason Steed as advertised here, it was actually a remake of the original, although I think it was better. Jaden Smith did a great job, he has posted on his facebook however that he is going to star in the film Fledgling and play Jason Steed. That will be awesome.

Jason Steed

Actually, Smith posted no such thing - it was all part of an astroturfing campaign by the author of the Jason Steed books to drum up interest. There will not be a Jason Steed movie, because nobody important has ever, or probably will ever read those books...

excellent remake without th "re" Both Jadenen and Jackie dida an excellent job to gathering the focus for '"life will bring you down, it is your choice to get up an win!

The basic definition of courage is not" to have no fear but" feeling the fear and choosing to move forward in spite of it or moving through it to succeed!"

"I was sceptical when I heard about a remake of The Karate Kid because the second and third films were really so-so. However, reading the early information about this remake makes me think that it can be really good and fun to watch, and I hope that Jaden will become at least as successful an actor..."
